This is a great find. Machete sheath is U.S. marked on the front and maker marked and dated 1942 on the rear. Current reproduction sheath. It is a heavy duty sheath and has riveted construction with a heavy duty hook on the back for attaching to your pistol belt. It also has a steel throat. It is light khaki in color. Machete is a genuine U.S. military issue and made by Ontario Knife Company. Machete measures 23 inches in length. Sheath measures 19 inches. This machete is a current production military machete.

Machete is U.S. marked and made by Ontario Knife Company. Machete is a current US military issue. Both pieces are in mint unused condition. Machete measures 23 inches in length. Sheath measures 19 inches. As nice as you will find.
This is a new condition US marked M8A1 sheath for use with bayonets. This will fit the M-3, M-4, M-5 and M-6 bayonets. Sheath has a metal end tip and complete with lanyard. Throat is nicely marked. Not sure exactly how old this is. Condition is superb.
