VMF-224 SQUADRON PATCH

This is a fabulous patch. VMF-224 was a Marine Corps Fighter squadron that produced ACES during WWII in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Patch is constructed of felt and is multi piece. Incredible detail and measures five inches. This would look great on a G-1 flight jacket. No one will tell you they have one just like it. This is a current production patch. Hard to find and as nice as you can get.

Beautiful handmade patch of gold and silver wire bullion thread. Rare and hard to find patch. Measures 5″ in diameter. Would look great on a flight jacket. By September 1944 the USS Hornets VF-2 had the distinction of being the top Fighter Squadron in the Pacific. Out of 50 pilots 28 were confirmed Aces.
